FROM FLORIDA WITH LOVE

This summer was the epitome of play hard, work harder! I spent my time working in Orlando, Florida as an Associate Producer on Basketball Wives Orlando's first season and I can't wait for y'all to see all our hard work!

It was an amazing experience that allowed me to step out of my comfort zone and into my power, molding me into a better producer and person! I loved working with the entire cast and crew and had a time! I met some unforgettable people, learned what it takes to make a great show and the importance of a healthy work/rest/fun life balance. While in Florida, I quickly realized working on location means working 24/7, but this show was worth it all!!

Behind-the-scenes shots taken on set. So much fun!

That time I had to sit in as a cast member, while the crew adjusted the lighting in the practical set/interview space

I did my best to find a balance. When I wasn't working or sleeping I was enjoying life.. a lot LOL.

Road Trips to Tampa and Miami on the weekends gave me so much life!

This summer was the epitome of play hard, work harder! We was outside baby!

Florida definitely reignited my lust for life and the sense of adventure, my soul craves. Exploring nature, impromptu road trips to Miami, and trying new foods; all while filming an exciting, unpredictable, heartfelt show. This summer reminded me of what makes me happy and I will keep the energy going. I promise myself to continue romanticizing my life, dancing like no one is watching, and working just as hard as I play; while resting when needed, exercising, and meditating consistently.

Getting cute and going out to eat was my favorite summer hobby fr

I wouldn't change my experience at all, well maybe I'd like a different living situation LOL. I'm proud of how I've grown in such a short time. I feel like I'm continuing to create my lane and figure out my own way of doing things. I proved to myself I'm a distinguished leader. As long as I'm kind, trust my vision, and don't mind making mistakes; Things will work out in my favor. I want to end this reflective moment with some lessons I learned from my time on BBWO S1. Hopefully, it inspires you too:

Lessons Learned:

  • Make time for self care, rest, fun, and community; alongside your responsibilities. The mind, body, spirit thrive in balance.

Affirmation: I listen to my body and rest when I need to.

  • We decide how confidently we show up in a space but not what people think of us.

Affirmation: I confidently show up as my full self, attracting good energy, and authenticity.

  • People create their own narrative, only you can decide what is true for you.

Affirmation: I create my reality and my actions align with the person I want to be.

  • Reframe self doubt as unfamiliarity and trust yourself to figure anything out. Be curious, ask questions, keep a beginner's mind set; With practice you'll gain experience, which brings wisdom.

Affirmation: I release the need to be an expert in everything. I learn as I go

  • Two things can be true at once. For example, I can love my career and still need time away to rest and refill my cup. Another example, I’m a chill person but I'm still working on maintaining my patience during trying times.

Affirmation: I embrace my duality and honor where I'm at today.

  • A good leader delegates. An even better leader listens and uses their discernment to incorporate other's ideas when beneficial. Teamwork makes the dream work!

Affirmation: We are all teachers and students in our own way. My openness attracts good energy and builds community.

  • The time + space to reflect and grow can do wonders for how we react.

Affirmation: I give myself the time to process my feelings before I respond

  • Live in the balance between moving off of feelings vs. logic.

Affirmation: I make decisions based on my heart and mind's eye

  • Ask for what you need with compassion, clarity, honesty, and understanding. Be okay with walking away if there's no reciprocity in any situation.

Affirmation: Honesty is a form of kindness, I honor myself and others through my truthfulness.

  • Vibes Don't Lie. When it comes to people, places, and things; Trust your intuition, until proven otherwise.

Affirmation: I trust my intuition to guide my steps and reveal what I need to know.
